As a member of the carers team to contribute to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the client in order to provide a safe, independent and satisfying lifestyle in the community.
To take all personal care tasks as required in a Client's care plan
To provide Personal Person centred care, toileting, bathing, dressing to assist Service Users with restricted mobility, use of hoists, Moving & Handling(you are not expected to physically move the client), light household duties, cooking.
To help maintain nutritional needs i.e:cooking, making drinks and assist with feeding in accordance with the clients dietary, religious, or cultural requirements and in some cases keeping weight, food, urinary and other charts as required.
Housework ex : vacuuming, dusting, bed making, laundry, toileting and keeping kitchen areas clean.
To assist with medication prescribed by the GP and dispensed by the pharmacist in Blister packs as required following the Best Care Recruitment Guidelines.
To promote and assist the Service User to maintain or encourage independence
